Course Description: This seminar will focus on implicit bias or the unconscious bias which can affect patient health care. The main purpose of this event is to help the participant recognize implicit bias in themselves. There will be a discussion of what implicit bias is and how and why it is created in all human beings. There will also be a presentation of the steps involved in modifying implicit bias and consistently applying that modification to health care situations.
