Pain: Effectively Engaging Your Patient in Acute or Chronic Pain

Course Description: Join us for a comprehensive exploration of pain management approaches that prioritize patient well-being. Engage in discussions that clarify the distinctions between chronic and acute pain, accompanied by an exploration of the impact of pain on individuals and their families. The course will include a presentation on pain assessment scales and nonpharmacologic methods for pain relief.

Presenter Kate Mayer, RN, BSN, NC-BC: After 16 years as a Pediatric ICU nurse, caring for kids who were critically ill or injured, Kate turned toward prevention. Now, she is an advanced wellness expert who helps provide hope and healing through powerful conversations. Nurse Coach Kate also has a heart for teaching evidence-proven methods that inspire health care professionals through CE courses.
